Wind Lynx Master Carl D. Parker

5th Degree Black Belt

Master Carl D. Parker Carl Parker holds a 5th Degree Black Belt Master ranking with the C&S Self Defense Association as well as a 2nd degree black belt ranking with the National Karate Association.

His study of the martial arts began in the Fall of 1970, while attending college. As martial arts classes were extra-curricular activities and the available instructors were volunteers from the student body, he gained experience in a number of different styles that included shotokan, uechi-ryu, judo, and kempo karate. Following college, he trained in shotokan karate with Sensei Frank Caligeri, where he received a green belt.

He began his training with Grandmaster Peter Rose of the Rose School of Karate in Portsmouth, NH in March of 1978. After obtaining his 2nd Degree Black Belt under Grandmaster Rose, Mr. Parker moved to Texas where he became the Southern Regional Director for the N.K.A. and later the Senior Instructor for the C&S Self Defense Association for the State of Texas.

He is currently Head instructor of the Defensive Movement Training, Albuquerque, NM. and a Senior instructor with the Strike Three Karate-Do Group, of Dallas,TX.

Mr. Parker holds a Bachelor of Science degree, in Electrical Engineering, from Grove City College, PA. He retired in 2017 as a Project Manager with Eaton Electrical Systems and Services, a part of Eaton Corporation.
